White Pass Cabin

Two cabins designed by WC STUDIO are currently under construction near White Pass, WA on a site surrounded by mountain peaks, towering evergreens, and sweeping views. The upper cabin is located on a higher building pad overlooking the Elk Valley and Cowlitz River just beyond the lower cabin’s roof.

The 2000 square foot main home cabin is designed as a pair of modern A-frames. A total of four bedrooms occupy the larger east volume with the primary suite enjoying the privacy of the second story. The main living space and kitchen comprise the smaller west volume, adjacent to an attached garage. The dining room provides the connection between the two volumes. Decks running along the front of the home provide a space to enjoy the views, sun and fresh air. Custom triangular windows from Marvin Modern create a stunning visual effect. Both cabins are clad in fire-safe textured cement fiber siding and metal roofs.
